The Exploress is celebrating its one year anniversary.
I can’t believe it’s been a year! I’ve learned a lot along the way: about writing for the airwaves, how to construct a proper recording cave, and how to turn many interesting tidbits into a compelling story with a beginning, middle, and end that you want to settle down and get cozy with. I’m passionate about bringing women back into the historical spotlight, exploring who they were and what their lives were really like. I’m constantly surprised by what I discover.
I’m very grateful to all the people I’ve met along the way who have championed the show and provided advice on how to keep it going. Hearing from people who laughed and learned along with me always makes my day. And hearing from eighth graders who want me to be their “expert” for their project on Sarah Emma Edmonds? Priceless.
If you haven’t listened yet, I recommend it! Just go to my podcast website or look it up wherever you listen to podcasts.
I’ve also just launched my brand new merchandise shop, full of fun ladycentric greeting cards, posters, maps and other goodies that celebrate women in history. You can check that out here.
